Victory not enough

Despite beating Altona 93 1:0 in the last week of the Regionaleague, Turkiyemspor could not save itself from falling from the league. Hakan Cankaya´s goal at 83´ was only enough to win the match. Turkiyemspor walks away from the Regionalleague with 42 points.

The blue and whites return to the Oberleague for the 2009-2010 season, for although Turkiyemspor won the game, all the other teams that were close to falling from the league won as well. Hamburger SV beat VFL Wolfsburg 2:1, Plauen won their away match against Halle 1:0 and Oberneuland and Rostock also won today.

Today marks the third time in the history of the blue and white club that they have fallen from a league.
